This charming rural property is within easy reach of the M77 allowing rapid access to Ayr, Kilmarnock and Glasgow. Greenfield is located about 3 miles from the village of Darvel which offers local facilities and a primary school whilst the Towns of Kilmarnock and Ayr offer a wide range of amenities including good state and private school for all ages, cinemas, theatres, hospitals and an excellent range of shops and a variety of sporting facilities. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is about 15 miles distant with regular national and international flights. The nearest railway station is in Kilmarnock with regular connections to Glasgow and beyond.
Ayrshire is renowned for its many golf courses including the world famous courses at Turnberry, Prestwick and Royal Troon. Turnberry hosts the Open in 2009. There is a popular Racecourse in Ayr and there are exceptional yachting facilities with Marinas in Troon, Larg, Inverkip and Ardrossan. There are many opportunities for games sports in the area and Ayrshire has some of South West Scotland’s finest salmon and trout fishing. There are many opportunities for riding and hacking along the tracks and minor public roads around Greenfield.

DESCRIPTION
Greenfield Farm comprises a fine stone and slate farmhouse built on two storeys under a slate roof with useful adjoining outbuildings, an excellent outdoor arena and land extending to about 17 acres. The Farmhouse is extensive and its particular features include a very sizeable living kitchen together with spacious bedrooms. There is a separate self contained annex with its own kitchen, living room, shower-room, two bedrooms and conservatory. At the front of the house is a large gravel sweep bordered by a mixture of stone and slate and timber buildings providing eleven stables, tack and feed room, garage and workshop. There is ample grazing for a number of horses.
An excellent equestrian property, Greenfield also has potential for further development of the stone and slate outbuildings either to separate units or to extend the accommodation in the house.
