Brownlea is a most attractive small Ayrshire farm with a delightful Farmhouse which is very privately situated between Dundonald and Symington in South Ayrshire. On its own in open countryside, Brownlea is about 2 miles from Symington and one mile from Dundonald, both of which have local services and Primary Schools. Troon is a short drive away, some 3 miles, with an excellent range of amenities including schools for all ages, a variety of sporting facilities and a fine range of shops. There are a number of golf courses around Troon including Royal Troon and a yacht marina. Glasgow and Ayr are within easy reach by the newly improved A77 and M77, and Prestwick Airport is less than 5 miles away with a full range of regular domestic and international flights. There is a railway station in Troon providing a half hourly service to Glasgow and beyond.

DESCRIPTION

In a peaceful and sheltered position, Brownlea is a charming traditional Farmhouse constructed of stone and slate on 2 storeys with an adjoining stone courtyard steading. The House commands fine views to the north and east over rolling countryside. The House has been well maintained with 2 reception rooms, kitchen, utility room, 3 bedrooms and bathroom. It adjoins traditional stone buildings with considerable scope for development – either extension of the existing house or separate units subject to planning permission being obtained. There are further modern buildings including hay shed, high level slatted house and cattle courts. The farmland extends to about 123 acres in total. It is generally good grazing arable land, principally Class 3(2) and Class 4 (2) under the Macaulay Institute Land Classification at a height from 40 metres to 70 metres about sea level. The Farm is available as a whole or in separate lots.
