From Glasgow, take the M77/A77 to Ayr. At the 2nd Ayr Bypass (Holmston) Roundabout (junction with A70), take the A70 Dumfries Road away from Ayr. Pass Dobbies, and after 400 yards, turn right onto a minor public road (signposted Crematorium). Follow the road around a sharp left hand bend and continue along it for about 3 miles. At the junction with the B742 turn right. Bowmanston is on the left.

GENERAL

Bowmanston Steading lies within easy reach of the thriving county town of Ayr about 4 miles distant. Ayr has a wide range of shops including supermarkets and department stores, leisure facilities, restaurants and excellent primary and secondary schooling.
