Balsaggart is a very fine and extensive Victorian stone steading beautifully situated in the rolling wooded countryside of south Ayrshire about one mile south of the attractive village of Crosshill. There are fine views from the site from the steading along the beautiful Girvan Valley. To the south, the Galloway Hills rise providing much opportunity for hill walking and other outdoor pursuits. Balsaggart has considerable privacy and seclusion afforded by its wooded situation. Crosshill has an excellent local primary school as well as local facilities and Post Office. Maybole is about 4 miles distant with a railway station, supermarket and secondary school. There are regular train services to Glasgow and beyond. Ayr, the county town, offers a wide range of amenities and facilities while Prestwick Airport is only 16 miles with regular scheduled domestic and international flights.

South Ayrshire is renowned for its beautiful upland scenery especially the Girvan Valley. There are many golf courses locally including Brunston Castle (4 miles) and at Turnberry (12 miles).

DESCRIPTION

A substantial stone steading, Balsaggart stands in grounds of about an acre with considerable scope for the creation of 8 fine houses with large gardens and attractive outlooks.

Detailed planning permission has been obtained for the conversion of these buildings to 8 dwelling houses and the plans and drawings in these particulars provide further detail. Copies of the consents and the full plans are available for inspection at CKD Galbraith’s Ayr office. The adjacent modern farm buildings are being taken down by the seller and will not be replaced. The fields to both sides of the entrance on to the public road are owned by the seller who can provide all necessary site lines for development. The seller also owns adjoining farmland which may be available for purchase if required.
