Moultavie Farmhouse and Steading lie in a quiet rural location in the heart of Easter Ross in the North of Scotland. The farmhouse, originally part of the nearby Novar Estate, was completely renovated about 17 years ago and today is a comfortable family home in a peaceful yet easily accessible location with stunning views across open farmland to the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle. The surrounding area of Ardross is set in a beautiful and unspoilt landscape, providing a habitat for rare wildlife and the freedom to enjoy its natural amenities with a nearby loch for swimming and canoeing, cross country skiing on forest tracks, rivers for fishing and, to the north of the house, Fyrish Hill with its historic monument and varied walks.

Easter Ross has a coastline of fertile, gentle countryside rising inland to open moorlands and lush glens, with the majestic and distinctive outline of Ben Wyvis as their backdrop. The area, dotted with historic towns and small villages, has a strong sense of tradition, community and continuing prosperity, reinforced by excellent road, rail and air communications continually attracting people to this area in search of a more balanced way of life. The local village of Evanton has a small supermarket, post office and primary school, the nearby towns of Dingwall and Alness offer a wide range of shops and amenities and Inverness, a 25 minute drive away, has all the facilities of a modern city. Primary schooling is also available in Ardross, while secondary schooling is available in Alness or Dingwall with its recently built academy.

DESCRIPTION

Moultavie Farmhouse is of stone and slate construction. From the single track public road a driveway leads to a gravel parking area at the front of the house.
