The village of Falkland provides an excellent range of local services and amenities, whilst the city of Glenrothes (about 6 miles) offers a wider range of city facilities.
Convenient for the main M90 motorway, and with mainline railway stations in Cupar, Ladybank and Freuchie, Falkland affords rapid access to Edinburgh and the central belt. Edinburgh airport can be reached in less than 45 minutes from the house by road.
Lying in an area of outstanding history and countryside, Fox’s Den offers easy access to a range of recreational activities including numerous countryside walks, riding, cycling, and golf, with many popular and challenging courses in the area such as Ladybank and Leven. St Andrews, renowned as the home of world golf, lies within a 30 minute drive of the house, and the challenging local course at Falkland is literally on the door step of Fox’s Den. In Falkland the Palace is maintained by The National Trust for Scotland and is a popular tourist destination.
